Easter Fest
Easter Fest was held on Saturday, April 8th at Acker Hall. Volunteers, youths and older Sunday School kids helped lead a fun filled day with worship, crafts, and games.
Sanctuary Cleanup
Sunday School students, grades 7-10, helped clean up the sanctuary during Easter Fest. Diane and Jim Farley from GGUMC were impressed with our students and had this to say, โI canโt give your youth enough praise. They were awesome helpers and went above and beyond our expectations! The sanctuary looks better than it has in many years and is well organized thanks to them working with our Scouts! We so appreciate their assistance!โ The project was coordinated by Horebโs Sheeba George and Diane Farley from GGUMC.
Easter Outreach Project
Parish Mission organized a “Easter baskets” outreach project for 72 children at the Orange County Rescue Mission. Sunday School children as part of Easter Fest prayed for the less privileged kids at OCRM. They also packed Easter bags with toys and made a custom card for each child. Dr. Mini Thomas organized the project and Parish Mission was able to drop off the bags to the kids.
Sevika Sangham & Youth Fellowship
Horeb Sevika Sangham members and Youth Fellowship members each held their own monthly meetings at member’s homes. It was also a chance to say farewell to Arun Achen and Sharon Kochamma.
