Vicar's Message
Dearly Beloved in Christ,
Glory be to the Lord.
We, the Achen’s family, want to thank and praise God for the commission we have received to serve the Horeb Mar Thoma family. We consider this a great privilege, and I am proud to be here as your Vicar from May 2023.
At this time, I would like to thank God for the blessed service of our Arun Achen and Kochamma. They have done a great and blessed service for the last four years. On behalf of the Horeb family and our family, let me express our heartfelt gratitude.
The month of May is a month of joy and peace because we are enjoying the resurrected Christ’s presence and guidance, and celebrating life. According to our Church lectionary, the Word of God says to enjoy the risen Christ with the little ones, to imitate the risen Christ by being little and lower in every aspect, and to be a witness of the risen Christ. When we enjoy the risen Christ, He is asking us to yield for the great commission and propagate it. For that, we need to inherit and imbibe the promised Holy Spirit.
Dearest Horebians, let us reach throughout the world in our mission with our Savior’s Spirit. Let’s send our Arun Achen and Kochamma with gratitude to New Jersey St. Stephen MTC for the furtherance of His mission.

Horeb MTCLA
Rev. Geevarghese Kochummen will be the new Vicar of the Horeb Mar Thoma Church beginning May 1, 2023. He was previously the Vicar of Colorado Horeb Mar Thoma Church and Phoenix Mar Thoma Church. Achen, Mini Kochamma and their children, Abel and Josh will arrive at the Parsonage on Monday, May 1. There will be Welcome Program and Dinner for Kochummen Achen and family following the Holy Communion Service on Sunday, May 7, 2023.
Arun Achen & Sharon Kochamma's Farewell
