Love for Christ Poem

Youth Praise and Worship

Luke Varghese:

As the leader of our church’s youth praise and worship team, I have loved every sound check during practice, every second of performance, and definitely every compliment we have received, throughout the last 2 months. It has been amazing seeing what can happen when the talented group of musicians and singers that surround me spend just a few hours in a garage, attempting to praise the Lord! I am so incredibly grateful for this experience, and I can safely say that not only has it brought me closer to my instrument, as well as my friends, but God as well. I catch myself listening to Christian music all the time now, whether in school, at practice, the gym, or even at home. It's like I’m surrounded by new faithful experiences everyday, and I certainly have no complaints.

Esther Jacob:

I am so grateful and thankful I have been given the opportunity to sing and help lead praise and worship for our church. This experience has gotten me in the habit of listening to more Christian music which has significantly shaped my faith and consistency in praying, meditation, and overall worship. Music has always been such a special part of my life and I especially love Christian music because it helps me praise the Lord when I am at a loss of words and don’t know what to say. The lyrics of a worship song are not just lyrics like any other song, but they are prayers and a special way of communicating with our father. It has been amazing working with so many talented singers and other musicians and I am looking forward to improving my skills and strengthening my faith through this amazing opportunity.

Josh Geevarghese:

Serving on our church praise and worship team has been an incredible experience—one of growth, joy, and a very deep connection with God. Each practice, each song, and each time of worship with these talented musicians has deepened my faith and energized my daily life in ways I never thought possible. Music has always been such a rich way for me to share my love for the Lord. Leading worship has always been a reminder that it is not just singing or playing an instrument; it is about establishing a space in which we can all move closer to Him. I am so humbly thankful for this experience and for the community that surrounds me, and I look forward to continuing on this path of faith, praise, and worship.

Nishan George:

There’s a moment, right before we start playing, when everything goes quiet. Sticks in hand, I take a breath, and then music fills the room. The past two months behind the kit have been more than just beats and rhythms; they’ve been about something bigger. Playing with the youth praise and worship team isn’t just about making music, it’s about creating something that connects us to God and to each other. The way the sound builds, the energy shifts, and the voices rise together, it’s impossible not to feel moved. I never expected drumming to deepen my faith, but here I am, finding worship in every note, every rehearsal, every moment

Sanjay Thomas:

I am blessed to be able to be on such an amazing praise and worship team. I truly feel the power of the holy spirit coming into all of us when we are up on the stage singing. I wouldn’t have thought of myself to have been someone to do praise and worship, however I’ve learned that this is something I really enjoy and want to continue doing. There’s nothing like singing the word of God with my fellow friends in youth, and I am so grateful to have this opportunity to do it with them. This experience has made us closer to each other and most importantly God. I look forward to our team becoming even better so we can inspire others to search for the fulfillment singing worship has brought me. I’m so thankful to my team, church, and God for making this happen. I’m excited to grow in my walk with God during my time on this amazing praise and worship team.

Nathaniel Thomas:

Being part of the Horeb youth praise and worship team has truly been a blessing. As the pianist, I’ve been able to share my passion for music in a way that feels so meaningful, not just to me but to everyone worshiping with us. There’s something so special and serene about coming together with other musicians and using our talents to praise the Lord. Everyone is so talented and passionate. Every practice, every song, and every moment spent in worship with this team has strengthened my faith and deepened my love for music as well as my relationship with everyone else on the team. I am so grateful to be a part of this, surrounded by such talented and faithful people, and I look forward to growing together in both music and faith.

Jonathan Thomas:

I love being part of Horeb’s amazing praise and worship team. The experience of working with this group has helped me grow spiritually in ways I didn’t think possible. I truly feel closer to the Lord everytime I sing his praises. This team has also taught me the value of hard work as we spend countless hours practicing and preparing for our performances. There’s nothing better than seeing our hard work pay off when we get on that stage and praise God together. It’s truly an honor to be a part of this group and I cannot wait for what more is to come.

Lia Thomas:

Having the opportunity to be a part of the praise and worship team at Horeb has been a blessed experience for me. Whenever we practice and whenever we sing during service, I am able to feel God’s presence amongst us. Being able to use the talents that He gave us has deepened my faith and allowed me to build a stronger connection with the Lord. I love being able to work with all the talented people in the praise and worship team, and I love that we are all able to combine our skills to create music that honors our Lord. The unwavering support that we receive from the Horeb community encourages me to continue exploring the musical aspects of my journey in faith, and I look forward to continuing this journey in the years ahead.
