Vicar's Message

Dearly Beloved in Christ,

I hope this message finds you well and that you enjoyed a blessed June. We thank God for His unwavering protection and care. Our family, too, had a fruitful time, richly blessed by the company of many loved ones.

Our clergy visits are ongoing, and the remaining houses will be scheduled for July by our prayer group leaders. The love, care, and fellowship we experienced during these visits was truly marvelous. We want to praise and thank God for our Horeb family.

Every day, we seek nourishment for our spiritual health. We are all part of God's people, the body of Christ. Like a body with various organs, each of us has unique responsibilities. Although we enjoy the privileges of being active members of this body, these privileges come with duties. We belong to a royal priesthood, tasked with ministering in the Kingdom of God. Each minister is accountable to the High Priest. The methods and approaches may vary, but we all work together, like different organs contributing to the health of the same body.

The expectation is that we perform our duties selflessly, emulating the ministry of our leader, Jesus Christ. At times, we may feel disheartened or weak, but we should always turn to our Leader for strength. We must seek and ask for His guidance and enablement. This mission is only possible through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. At times, we might feel drained, empty, and dry. During these periods, we need to seek rejuvenation. Only the presence of God can refuel us and enable us to be true ministers. As the Horeb family, let's ask for spiritual renewal, striving always to be genuine ministers for the glory of God. May God guide us and enable us to carry out our roles, for this is our prayer.

May this month be a blessed one for all of us. We ask the Lord to grant us His presence, that we might live a fruitful Christian life.

Lovingly,
Kochummen Achen
