Holy Week
Holy Week Services were conducted by Horeb starting with Palm Sunday service at church, Sandhya Namaskaram prayer meetings hosted by each area group at members' homes, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday services at church followed by Easter dinner at Acker Hall.
EasterFest
EasterFest was held at Travis Ranch Middle School, Yorba Linda this year. Coordinators Merry Thomas and Sheeba George along with volunteers made it a blessed event for the Sunday School kids. Older Sunday School kids and youths helped as well. Serena John, Ashlyn Chacko, Zaavia George, and Alex Abraham helped lead the songs. Anjali John gave an enlightening message and created the slideshow below.
Mary's Kitchen Outreach
Horeb's Sevika Sangham continued its monthly outreach for Mary's Kitchen Shelter. Volunteers helped make sandwiches after church service and dropped it off at the shelter, which helps the less fortunate in Orange County. These photos are from the March and April outreaches.
Parish Mission Outreach
Horeb's Parish Mission and Sunday School have joined hands in the past years to put together Easter Baskets for the destitute women and men residing in Grandma’s House of Hope. This year Horeb members have decided to support a 16 year old youth who has been severely injured and is being treated in a local Orange County hospital. His mother passed away and his father is not in the picture. Horeb members generously donated financially and are praying for the youth and his distant family as the family supports him as he recovers, returns to the hospital for follow-up visits, and continues his education. Sunday school children, youths and volunteers wrote encouraging messages to the youth during EasterFest and several youths donated financially as well.
