Pulpit Exchange Sunday
Rev. Jinu John, Vicar of Silicon Valley MTC, led the service during Pulpit Exchange Sunday. Achen, Kochamma and kids were able to join us on Sunday, March 5th. Arun Achen and Sharon Kochamma, in turn, led the service at Silicon Valley MTC.
World Day of Prayer
World Day of Prayer was held on Sunday, March 19th. Horeb women participated during the special litury, Bible readings, offertory collection and Sharon Kochamma gave the Sermon on the theme – I have heard about your faith, based on Ephesians 1: 15-19. You can view it here
Love in Action Ministry
Horeb members were able to help renovate Dulac United Methodist Church in Louisiana. The church was damaged severely due to Hurricane Ida in August 2021. Horeb members Ashby Mathews – Project Coordinator, Philip Jacob, and Alex Abraham traveled to Dulac along with other Mar Thoma church volunteers to help restore the church from March 23-26.
Western Region Sevika Sanghom 1-Day Conference
Western Region Sevika Sanghom One Day Conference was hosted by the Phoenix Mar Thoma Church on Saturday, March 25th. The theme for this yearโs conference was โWomen as Ambassadors of Christ”. Mrs. Shijy Alex of Chicago Marthoma church and Rev. Arun Samuel Varghese were the main speakers. Many Horeb Sevika Sangham members attended the event.
