Dear Horeb Family,

As we welcome the month of April this year, we will do so by entering into the Passion Week (Holy Week), during which we join together to commemorate the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and celebrate His resurrection.  Throughout this week, we will have many opportunities to come together in fellowship and strengthen our faith.  Requesting and anticipating your prayerful presence for our Passion Week prayer meetings and worship services.  Our Easter Fest this year will be a blessed opportunity to serve our surrounding community.  Our older Sunday School students will be helping GGUMC with church clean-up, and our Parish Mission is planning a community outreach, in conjunction with our Sunday School, for Orange County Rescue Mission.       

As we complete yet another Lenten Season and celebrate the joy and hope of Easter in our lives, it is my hope and prayer that we go forward all the more renewed and strengthened in the love and joy of the resurrection.  Easter is a time of new beginnings and new life in Christ.  Through His sacrifice, we are provided forgiveness and the opportunity to begin anew.  And in His resurrection, we experience the power of God’s love and the promise of renewal leading to eternal life.

This Easter season is particularly meaningful to us as it brings Sharon and me to a time of change and new beginnings.  As we prepare to transfer from Los Angeles to New Jersey, we are grateful to God for the many blessings we have experienced and shared together during our 4 years here.  We are deeply grateful for all of the ways we experienced and were enriched by the love and fellowship, for the ways we were encouraged and strengthened by the prayerful support, for the ways we were inspired and learned from the faith-filled and creative efforts – of the Horeb family.  We will always cherish the memories of our time together and the blessing of being part of the Horeb family.

We wish God’s blessing and mercies upon the new Vicar, Rev. Geevarghese Kochummen and family as they join here on May 1^st .   We look forward to Horeb’s growth and journey ahead as you continue to nurture your faith, seeking God’s guidance and endeavoring to embody Christ in all that you do.

Until we meet again in God’s will and time, may your lives be filled with the grace and hope of our risen Lord and may God’s blessing be upon you always,
